Mahesh Bhatt and Anu Malik Inaugurate 126th Batch of AAFT at Marwah Studios. Noida, September 2025: AAFT, a premier institution for media and creative studies, created history once again by inaugurating its 126th batch of trainees at Marwah Studios. The grand ceremony was graced by some of the most celebrated names from Indian cinema and music.
The event was inaugurated by renowned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and popular music director Anu Malik, joined by film director Suhrita Das, cine artists Shammi Duhan, Hirranya Ojha, Arhan, and lyricist Shwetha Bothra. The auditorium was packed with young, aspiring students, brimming with excitement and energy.
In his welcome address, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, expressed pride in the institution’s journey. “Today we are breaking our own record of the 125th batch by launching the 126th. AAFT stands as the only creative institution in the world to achieve this milestone. With 11 World Records to our credit, we have become a world-class institution thanks to the dedication and hard work of our entire team,” he said.
Mahesh Bhatt, speaking with his characteristic passion, inspired the students by emphasizing cinema as a mirror of life. “Your journey in this institution is not just about learning the craft, but also about discovering yourself through stories and emotions,” he remarked.
Anu Malik praised AAFT’s contribution to nurturing young talent and delighted the audience by singing one of his popular numbers, which left the hall echoing with applause. “Music and films unite hearts, and I see that spirit alive at AAFT,” he said.
Adding to the inspiration, Suhrita Das spoke about the evolving role of directors, while Shammi Duhan encouraged students to remain disciplined in their approach to acting. Hirranya Ojha shared his thoughts on the power of hard work, Arhan expressed his excitement at being part of the event, and Shwetha Bothra spoke about the art of writing and its importance in cinema.
The inauguration concluded with an electrifying atmosphere as the new batch of students set forth on their creative journey, motivated by the wisdom and encouragement of industry stalwarts.
