Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), Founder of Noida Film City and Chair of the Indo Uruguay Film and Cultural Forum, attended the National Day of Uruguay celebration in New Delhi.<\/p>\n
The distinguished event was hosted in the presence of H.E. Alberto A. Guani, Ambassador of Uruguay to India, and Ambassador Sibi George, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the press on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah congratulated the Government and people of Uruguay on their National Day and highlighted the growing importance of India\u2013Uruguay relations.<\/p>\n
\u201cUruguay and India share a relationship based on mutual respect, friendship and a common commitment to strengthening people-to-people connections. As Chair of the Indo Uruguay Film and Cultural Forum, I believe that cinema, art and culture can play a major role in taking this relationship to a new level,\u201d said Dr. Marwah.<\/p>\n
He further added, \u201cFilm is a universal language. It provides an opportunity for people to understand each other\u2019s traditions, values, lifestyles and aspirations.
