Noida, India – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) celebrated the Independence Day of Azerbaijan on October 18 at its global headquarters, Marwah Studios in Film City, Noida. The event honored the deepening ties between India and Azerbaijan and brought together ICMEI members and guests to mark this important occasion.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, extended his warmest greetings to H.E. Elchin Huseynli, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, and to the people of Azerbaijan. “I extend my heartfelt greetings to H.E. Elchin Huseynli and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their Independence Day,” said Dr. Marwah. “Our relationship with Azerbaijan is strong and growing, and I am eager to see our partnership reach new heights.”
Dr. Marwah also shared his recent experiences from a visit to Azerbaijan, where he traveled with a group of 35 people. “Azerbaijan left a lasting impression on us with its breathtaking locations, warm hospitality, and blend of rich history and modernity,” he remarked. “The people of Azerbaijan are as welcoming and hospitable as those in India, which only strengthens our bond.”
This visit has paved the way for Azerbaijan’s increased involvement in ICMEI’s major international events. Azerbaijan now actively participates as a partner in high-profile programs organized by ICMEI, including the Global Film Festival, Global Literary Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Documentary Festival, Global Food Festival, and the Global Festival of Journalism.
The celebration at Marwah Studios emphasized the importance of cultural exchange, with Dr. Marwah expressing his commitment to furthering this dynamic relationship.
